What Do I Do When...?

What do I do when...

. . ..

I would like to add a name to the prayer list?

A name can be added to the prayer list by contacting the office: call or email. People remain on the prayer list for three weeks. Please keep us updated.

. . . we are planning to be married?

First...congratulations!!! We invite you to join us for worship - see if who we are and how we worship feels like a fit for you. Then, call the office or email us and we will then send you a wedding application. We will confirm the date and time after we have received the completed application.

. . .  a new baby is born?

Congratulations! We celebrate with prayers of thanksgiving at all Sunday services and pastoral care is offered as needed.
The child's name and date of birth are entered into the parish records.

. . . I desire the Sacrament of Holy Baptism?

Please join us for worship. Since baptism takes place in the midst of the Trinity community, see if this feels like a good fit for you. Then,
contact the office to receive the schedule for baptism class times.

. . .  we are faced with a death in our family?

At such a difficult time, please contact the office - 703.368.4231. A member of the clergy will contact you as soon as possible and offer support, prayers and assistance.

. . . I want to be confirmed, recieved or be reaffirmed?

Confirmations Classes for adults and older children are held prior to the Bishop’s annual visit. Please watch the Sunday “This Week…” and this web site for details and dates.

. . .  I am going to the hospital?

Contact the office to let us know where and when you will be hospitalized. During admission, indicate that you are an Episcopalian and a member of Trinity Episcopal Church. Parishioners share the pastoral ministry and need to assist us in the notification process. We will not know of your hospitalization unless you or a member of your family lets us know.

. . . I desire a home visit?

Visits are made regularly by clergy and lay ministers. Please feel free to contact the parish nurse, Polly Kehn, if you know of a parishioner in need. A Lay Pastoral Minister can be called immediately to make a call as well as the clergy.

. . . I wish to have Holy Communion brought to me in the hospital or at home?

Just give us a call, we will arrange to bring the sacrament to you.

. . . my name, address, email, telephone number, or marital status changes?

Contact the parish office to keep your information current. If your telephone number is unlisted and you prefer that it not be printed in the church directory, be sure to let us know.

. . . I want to receive the weekly announcements and all seasonal meditations by email?

Send an email indicating you would like the weekly announcements emailed to you.

. . . I want to receive the monthly newsletter (The Tidings) by mail?

Please give your name and address to the office either by email, phone call or stopping by on Sunday morning to leave a note.

. . . I want to enroll a child in Sunday School?
