Prayer Shawl Ministry

Next meeting September3rd at 11:00 am in the Library

Bring your oldest piece of knitting or crochet for Show and Tell

If you know of someone who needs the comfort of one of these beautifully hand made shawls, please contact the church office.

Our first shawls were blessed on Mother's day, and  have already been delivered to people who needed to be wrapped in a mantle of love and prayer

All yarn donations gratefully received, there are patterns for just about every weight of wool.

Please bring your own needles, U.S. 11 or 13, Metric 8:00 or 9:00 Crochet Hook size M N or P. this is the size required to knit the free pattern that you will find on the link to the shawl website below.

Knitting has been around for centuries, lately it has been featured in quite a few magazines, as stars have been spotted with needles clicking. It is now considered a trendy past-time. For those of us who began knitting at our Grandma's knee it has always held appeal and we usually have more than one project on the go. Now we can use our love for this ancient craft to create a shawl wrapped in prayers to give to those who are in need of comfort.

"You created every part of me, knitting me in my Mother's womb.

Psalm 139:13

We welcome all ages and skill levels!
