Seasonal Midweek Offerings
Via Media
-
Via Media is a 6 to eight week encounter with the
teachings of the church. Via Media means the middle way and has long
been used to speak of the Anglican tradition as the middle way in the
theological debates between Protestants and Catholics. People
experience in the opportunity to learn and grow in the faith. This is
accomplished not so much through the teaching of truths but in a
dialogue of truths.
Through video presentations and through our own discussions we find out:
1. We come from many different places down very
diverse paths to arrive together in the Episcopal Church.
2. Members of our church have very different
understandings of truth and faithfulness and that is okay.
3. Sometimes we out and out disagree and yet we are
one in Christ.
4. That the rule of faith is relationship.
