Plant a Row
|
"For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ |
We believe in feeding hungry people
Some of us are gardeners and some of us just want to be. And we have found that just about everyone
can plant a seed in a pot, put seedlings in the ground, pull a few weeds, tend a plant or two and enjoy the harvest. If we all plant an extra seedling, tend one extra pot, plant one extra row, well, we will have food to share with others beyond our doors. And we do! Every spring Trinity members get their hands dirty and then bring the fruits of their labors to give away!! Herbs to veggies - we share our table. Won't you plant a row this spring? We share our bounty all summer. Everyone deserves fresh food from the garden. |
"Then God said, "Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the surface of all the earth, and every tree which has fruit yielding seed; it shall be food for you.."
In the beginning God created heaven and earth and then...set about adorning one of them...earth, our fragile island home. What generous bounty we have when we engage in the work of cultivating the earth for healthy bodies. Join us in this delicious ministry! |
