Volunteer Opportunities
Coffee and Donut Ministry
Every Sunday morning after our services we gather for coffee and donuts in the Parish Hall. These gatherings are attended by many of our parishioners and visitors, and are a great way to meet and socialize with other members of our parish family or strike up new friendships in a relaxed atmosphere.
While our Parish administrator order donuts, bagels and fruit, it seems we never have enough to go around, and our church budget is limited so ordering more items is cost-prohibitive. How can you get involved? We're looking for volunteers each month to help with this Coffee and Donut Ministry by bringing in nut-free baked goods (homemade or store-bought), and helping to set up and clean up after the 8:30 and 11 am services. Currently, two Vestry Persons of the Day are responsible for setting up for 8:30 and 11 a.m. coffee and donuts hours, and then cleaning up, and locking the church. They sure could use your assistance. To volunteer for this important ministry, fill out the sign up sheet. You are welcome to sign up to bring baked goods, or volunteer for set up and clean up, or both! Your support is greatly appreciated. |
Talents and Skills
Trinity is in need of your talents and skills to assist our church with its spiritual and mission-related operations. Specifically, your support is needed in the following areas:
If you are interested in assisting in any of these opportunities, please contact Carole or Rev. Talk at info@trinityepiscopalchurch.org. |
Greeters and Ushers
Greeters
The ministry of Trinity Greeters is to meet and greet the members and visitors as they enter the church for worship. Trinity embraces the ministry of radical welcome, remembering that each one of us has been a stranger walking into a new church! We have greeters at the Florida Room door. This is a very important ministry. Ushers Finding a welcoming face and voice is often the essential difference for someone who is looking for community, acceptance and friendship on Sunday morning. Ushers contribute to our worship by greeting people, distributing bulletins, providing guidance in seating, taking the offering collection, giving direction to the communion rail, being available for assistance after the service, helping to straighten up the Church after worship and other duties as assigned. It is our hope that you will feel this job is yours and that creating an atmosphere of radical welcome is your specialty! Everyone matters, each person counts, every smile warms a heart. We welcome volunteers to help us in this important ministry. |
Phone List Callers
We're looking for 3 to 5 people, who are not shy, to call folks on our phone list every month to let them know what's going on at Trinity. If you enjoy talking on the phone and have a few hours each month for this effort, please let us know: info@trinityepiscopalchurch.org.
